This stage leads through the northernmost villages in Germany up to the Danish border.
The last stage of the German section of the route runs from Dagebüll back into the hinterland and through the health resort of Niebüll. There is a train connection to Sylt from here, making it ideal for a day trip to the island. Beyond Niebüll, the countryside spreads out into the distance. The special shade of green found in the fertile marshlands contrasts with the blue of the sky while sheep and their lambs graze alongside the long-distance cycle route. The landscape is also characterised by the windmills, the shadows of which fall on the expansive fields and meadows and the whirring of whose blades can be heard in the wind.

In addition to the multifaceted landscape, numerous museums focusing on everything from nature to modern art offer a rich and varied programme. The region's most famous artist is Emil Nolde, who was able to bring the beauty of North Frisia to life in his works of art. His house can be found in Seebüll, which now functions as the Nolde Museum and exhibits his works. The garden is also worth a visit.

Once you have passed Seebüll, it's only a few kilometres to the Danish border, where the German section of the North Sea Cycle Route comes to an end in Ruttebüll.
