The magnificent former granary made of brick and half-timbering in Otterndorf's old town still reveals the town's past wealth. For a long time, Otterndorf was an important transshipment point for goods. Farmers from Hadeln sold their produce from inland to the coast of Otterndorf. From here, the goods were profitably traded on to Hamburg and Schleswig-Holstein, towards Bremen or even as far as Holland.
Today, the Bull'sche Speicher is used as a residential and commercial building.
