The railroad line between the Hanseatic cities of Stade and Bremen has been in existence for over 100 years. In those days, the now nostalgic train was a fast means of transportation - compared to the peat barges - and rightly bore the name "Express". By today's standards, a trip on the Moorexpress is a relaxing experience and offers unmistakable impressions of the North German Teufelsmoor landscape. The Moorexpress has 90 seats and can accommodate 25 bicycles in its bicycle trailer.Advance reservations are recommended, e.g. at the Stade Tourist Information Office.
