As a poet of comic verse, Ringelnatz (1883 - 1934) is still one of the most popular authors of the 20th century. He also wrote many thought-provoking texts and was also a successful painter and cabaret artist. Kuttel Daddeldu, the sailor invented by Joachim Ringelnatz, is certainly the most famous lyrical adventurer in German literature.
In addition to manuscripts, books and photographs on the biography of Joachim Ringelnatz, the permanent exhibition also includes numerous drawings, watercolors and oil paintings by the poet and painter.
