Almost four times as high as its little brother in Wremen, the lighthouse "Obereversand" watches over the Dorumer Tief at a height of 37.40 m. It was moved from the Outer Weser to the harbour entrance of Dorum-Neufeld in 2003. It is the landmark of Dorum-Neufeld. The viewing platform offers a sweeping view of the Lower Saxony Wadden Sea National Park, which was recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2009. Inside the tower, visitors can experience the life and work of the lighthouse keepers in the late 19th century on a guided tour.
Secret tip: On the Obereversand, there is the opportunity to sail into the harbour of marriage.
