If you want to marvel at interesting things, get to know exciting people, enjoy the vastness of the mudflats, relax, recharge your batteries and gather unforgettable impressions, then we'll be out and about on the mudflats together.

During the tidal flat hikes, you will learn interesting facts about:

• the Wadden Sea World Heritage Site
• the Wadden Sea National Park
• the formation of the Wadden Sea, tidal flats, channels ...
• the plants and animals in the tidal flats

The scope of the explanations on the individual topics is adapted to the respective hike. The following hikes are offered:
 
Hooksiel mudflat detectives (family mudflat hike for young and old - no minimum age), duration approx. 1.5 hours
The  mudflat detectives (supported by the adults) go on an interesting journey of discovery into the mudflats and take a close look at  everything. There will also be plenty of fun. Will you see a lugworm or even a shore crab? Which of the detectives will have the courage to touch these animals? The hike is adapted to the needs of children (walking speed, language...).

Hooksiel Short Mudflat Hike, Duration approx. 1.5 hours
On this relaxed mudflat hike, people aged 8 and over set off on an exploration tour of the Hooksiel mudflats close to the coast and learn a lot about this unique habitat.
During the colder season, a boot service is offered.

Hooksiel winter mudflat hike, Duration approx. 1 hour
Be impressed by the winter Wadden Sea World Heritage Site and enjoy it in its winter rest.
Duration approx. 1 hour. Subject to wind and weather conditions.
Warm clothing and rubber boots (or old waterproof boots etc.) required. (See also the section "Rubber boot service" on my homepage)
