The shipping company Cassen Eils, based in Cuxhaven, offers a year-round timetable to Heligoland and sails from Cuxhaven, Bremerhaven and Büsum to the high seas island. In winter, the shipping company is the only one that supplies the island from Cuxhaven.
In addition to the Helgoland service, the shipping company also operates a ship connection to the island of Neuwerk in the Elbe estuary and offers various excursions, e.g. to the seal banks, the Kiel Canal and excursions with MS "WEGA II" from Fedderwardersiel.
