Forest bathing in the Wingster Forest
Trips to the forest have a very positive effect on health. Various studies by Japanese scientists show that spending time in the forest acts as a kind of aromatherapy. "Shinrin Yoku" or "forest bathing" is a recognized stress management method.

The body produces so-called killer cells, which can act against cancer, due to the terpenes contained in the forest air. Anxiety, depression and anger  are also alleviated  and stress hormones are reduced (see "Effect of forest environment on human immune function" (Qing Li) ). Physical exertion is not the decisive factor. Even a leisurely walk in the forest is enough. Why this is particularly noticeable in the forest, however, has not yet been researched.
