Mill

The Amanda corn windmill stands proudly out of the corn and maize fields and can be seen from afar.

The Galerieholländer has been completely destroyed by lightning twice in 150 years. It is owned by the Saborowski family. After the last restoration, it is fully functional and is regularly put into operation at baking and mill festivals organized by the Düdenbüttel-Grefenmoor mill and local history association. The entire ensemble also includes the mill barn and the bakehouse.

The windmill is part of the Lower Saxony Mill Route and the themed cycle tour "Mühlenroute" also passes Amanda.

In colloquial language, the name Amanda can be translated as "the lovely one"... ideal conditions, as the mill with its historic ambience can also be used as a wedding venue.
