- Destination: Bremerhaven
Leaving Varel behind, this stage takes you further north towards Bremerhaven. The Jade Bight acts as a beautiful backdrop for the stage. The shoreline passages alternate with wide fields and small settlements along the way. The route continues from Varel through the villages of Diekmannshausen and Norderschweiburg to Seefeld, where the Seefelder Mühle windmill with its café is a great place to take a short breather.
Returning to the Jade Bight, the route also leads to Eckwarderhörne, from where you can see as far as the Jade-Weser Port on the other side if visibility is good. From this point on, you continue through the green landscapes of the Butjadingen peninsula. Among other places, you pass through Langwarden and Burhave, from where you can already see the Bremerhaven container terminal. The Weser ferry awaits cyclists in Blexen to take them across the Weser to Bremerhaven. Exciting museums and the maritime lifestyle turn a visit to the city into an experience.
