- Destination: Elmshorn
Starting from the St. Pauli Piers, you follow in the footsteps of old sailors along the Elbe passing the Reeperbahn in St. Pauli and the fish market in the Altona district. To your right, you can recognise the white facades of the majestic houses between the treetops from a distance, which belong to one of Hamburg's most beautiful, but also richest districts - Blankenese. The view of the Elbe and its riverside landscapes from here is marvellous.
You now leave Hamburg and reach the northernmost state in Germany - Schleswig-Holstein. You cycle across the Haseldorfer Binnenelbe with the Elbe foreland and the old orchards, cross the Pinnau over the historic Klevendeich swing bridge and cycle along the banks of the Krückau to Elmshorn. This is where the 11th stage of the North Sea Cycle Route ends.
